Fann w Fenjein: Beirut Black Cat

In this new experimental format of Fann w Fenjein, we get candid with Beirut Black Cat also known as Karim Massoud, about art, beginnings, and becoming.

Rooted in his home gallery, Beirut Black Cat is less a conventional space and more a lived practice—one shaped by curiosity, relationships, and an evolving understanding of what it means to work with art.

In a light-hearted conversation, Karim reflects on how he started as an art dealer, the choices that shaped his journey, and the questions guiding his next steps.

Moving between personal anecdotes and broader reflections on the art world, the interview offers an intimate look into a practice that values sincerity over spectacle, and growth over certainty.
