Thank you for considering Al Rawiya for the publication of your work. Before submitting a pitch to Al Rawiya, please browse our website. We recommend you read the About Us page and our previous issues so that you can familiarize yourself with our tone, our mission, and what we’ve already published. This will better inform your submission and our potential working relationship.

Al Rawiya readers, contributors, and team members may be based anywhere in the world, but invariably feel a connection to and love for the countries of the Levant . We aim to strengthen our bond with our region and its diverse communities by telling its stories, especially the little-known and untold ones, be they of the past, the present, or the future we wish to have.

We are open to new formats, but we currently publish:

• Written articles including opinion essays, arguments, reviews of film, TV, music, or art, analysis, guides, and explainers.
• Interviews
• Photography and photo essays
• Illustrations and other artwork
• Poetry
• Videos

Please do not submit:

• Previously published work
• Work that promotes racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or sectarianism
• Pieces entirely unrelated to the Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, or Jordan

Currently, we have the editing capacity to publish work in English and Arabic, so please do not hesitate in sending us your pitch in either language.

Finally, we ask that prospective contributors submit a pitch/outline (not a finished draft), in addition to at least one writing sample for written articles and interviews.
